Don't just take our
word for it

A flying career to me isn’t just about the flying hours we clock up, or even the types of aircraft we fly…..yes, of course those things play a big part when talking about a career, but to me, a career in aviation isn’t just, the flight experience, but also the life experiences that go with it.

The places we travel to, the things we see, the people we meet, and ultimately, the lessons we learn are things that can never be taught in school, learnt from a book, or studied on the Internet. They are things that can only be experienced while being on this ride called Aviation, or to be more precise, being a pilot.

I was very fortunate to have developed a very strong grounding, and foundation for what has become a very successful career to date, simply by being involved with the RVAC, as a student, employee, and club member.

Greg Brown, Virgin Australia Pilot

“After completing secondary school, Nic began his flying training at RVAC and earned his PPL, CPL, and ATPL with an instrument and instruction rating. In 2001, Nic achieved his goal of becoming a line pilot for the national flag carrier Qantas, where his passion for aviation continues to be realised. Nic said, achieving his childhood dream of flying Boeings for Qantas is one of his proudest accomplishments, so much of which can be attributed to the quality flying training, experience and guidance of RVAC.”

Nick Hope, Qantas Pilot

“I feel privileged to be involved with the Royal Victorian Aero Club, through their Young Eagles program, in sharing my passion for aviation with young Australians. It is heartening to see a flying club pro-actively involve young people in their activities, enabling them to gain first hand experience in the exciting world that is aviation.”

Ralph Petritsch, Airline Pilot, Former RAAF Pilot
