The Royal Victorian Aero Club (RVAC) has been training pilots and supporting the aviation community since 1914. We’re proud of our long-standing reputation for excellence in flight training, safety, and club culture.


Our team is made up of passionate aviation professionals — from instructors and operations staff to engineers and administrators — all dedicated to helping students achieve their flying goals and promoting general aviation in Australia.

Expressions of Interest

The Royal Victorian Aero Club is seeking motivated, safety-driven Flight Instructors (Grade 1, 2, and 3) to join our experienced training team at Moorabbin Airport.

As one of Australia’s oldest flying training organisations, RVAC offers instructors the chance to teach in a supportive environment with a proud aviation heritage, diverse student base, and an active flying culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Grade 1, 2, or 3 Flight Instructor Rating (CASA Part 61).
  • Current Class 1 Medical.
  • RPL/PPL/CPL training endorsements appropriate to grade.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and working with students.
  • Commitment to safe operating practices and continuous improvement.

Additional instructor endorsements (e.g., FIR training endorsement, multi-engine training, IFR, spinning) are highly regarded.
