Comprehensive Flight Training

Located at Moorabbin Airport, RVAC Aviation Academy provides tailored flight training programs to suit diverse piloting goals. As a Part 141 and 142 accredited school, it offers CASA-approved simulators, theory courses for tertiary, VCE, and VCAL students, and expert instruction to prepare students for a wide range of aviation careers.

Offering high-quality training with a rich history of over 100 years, our accredited program equips you with the skills, knowledge, and flight experience to make flying your profession. Eligible students can defer their tuition fees under the VET Student Loans scheme.

Commencing 1 September 2025AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane)

Start from zero experience and progress through each stage of training and achieve a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). Our structured pathway provides all the training and support needed to become a fully qualified pilot.

HIDDENCommencing 7 July 2025AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)

This course provides training for pilots who wish to fly under instrument flight rules (IFR) and in multi-engine aircraft (MEA). It equips students with the skills to operate aircraft safely in a variety of weather conditions, enhancing their qualifications for commercial aviation roles requiring instrument flying capabilities.

Commencing 14 July 2025AVI50419 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor)

This course is designed for pilots who wish to become certified flight instructors. It provides the necessary training to teach others how to fly, covering both flight operations and instructional techniques, and is a key qualification for those looking to advance their careers in aviation education.

HIDDENCommencing SoonAVI60219 Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Pilot in Command)

Prepares commercial pilots for command roles, typically including MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) training and ATPL Theory Examination Credits required to obtain an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). It focuses on advanced flight planning, leadership, and multi-crew operations.

The Royal Victorian Aero Club (RVAC), proudly known as Royal Vic, is one of Australia’s oldest and most iconic flying clubs.
Established in 1914, just a decade after the Wright brothers’ groundbreaking first flight, the club was founded by a visionary group of aviation pioneers who shared a passion for the emerging field of flight.
