The Instrument Rating Examination (IREX) Theory course is a comprehensive program designed to prepare pilots for the challenging Instrument Rating examination. This course is essential for aspiring pilots seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in instrument flight operations and regulations.

Over the duration of three weeks, students will engage in intensive theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and simulated scenarios to develop a solid foundation in instrument flight rules (IFR) procedures, navigation aids, instrument approach procedures, and regulations governing instrument flight.

1. IFR Regulations and Procedures: A comprehensive overview of instrument flight regulations, including IFR rules, clearances, airspace classifications, and communication procedures. Students will gain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for instrument flight operations.
2. Instrument Flight Planning: Instruction on the principles of instrument flight planning, including route selection, navigation aids, weather considerations, alternate airport planning, fuel requirements, and NOTAMs. Students will learn to develop effective instrument flight plans.
3. Instrument Navigation Aids: In-depth study of various navigation aids used in instrument flight, including VOR (VHF Omni-directional Range), NDB (Non-Directional Beacon), DME (Distance Measuring Equipment), GPS (Global Positioning System), and ILS (Instrument Landing System). 7. Instrument Meteorology: Introduction to meteorological factors and considerations specific to instrument flight, including icing conditions, turbulence, thunderstorms, and low visibility conditions. Students will develop strategies to mitigate weather-related risks during instrument flight.
8. Instrument Flight Simulations: Practical exercises using flight simulators to reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop instrument flight skills. Students will engage in simulated scenarios, including IFR flight planning, navigation, instrument approaches, and emergency procedures.
