Step into the world of multi-engine aviation

A Multi-Engine Class Rating (MEA) enables you to operate aircraft with more than one engine – an essential qualification for professional pilots aiming to fly commercially in charter, airline, or instructional roles.
Training focuses on advanced aircraft handling, asymmetric flight, engine failure procedures, and performance management – all critical skills for operating complex aircraft safely and effectively. Whether you’re preparing for airline entry or commercial charter work, the MEA is a key milestone in your aviation journey.

Your Aircraft

Choose from a diverse fleet of aircraft to complete your Recreational Pilot Licence.

Piper Seminole

The Piper Seminole is a leading multi-engine trainer globally. With its stable handling characteristics, counter-rotating propellers (eliminating critical engine issues), and straightforward systems, it’s ideal for learning asymmetric flight and multi-engine management. Its forgiving nature and reliability make it a favourite for MEA courses worldwide.

Vulcanair Partenavia

The Partenavia offers students the chance to train in a larger, high-performance twin. Its high wing design provides excellent visibility and handling, while its retractable gear and constant-speed propellers give students realistic exposure to commercial-type aircraft systems. It’s especially well-suited for students aiming for charter or aerial survey work.

What comes after the MEA?

The Multi-Engine Class Rating opens up a range of new flying opportunities, including commercial and private operations in twin-engine aircraft. This rating is often a prerequisite for charter, aerial work, and airline roles.

To maintain the rating, you must complete a flight review every 24 months in a multi-engine aircraft.

After your MEA, you may continue building your qualifications with:
